“The Alchemist” is an abstract representation of transformation both within ourselves and in the world at large. Ancient text reads from right to left, and so does this mural. We begin on the right with the character gazing directly at you. Moving to the left a transformation occurs through the elements of water air fire and ether, and she emerges dripping in liquid gold.
